I loved Halloween when I was a kid! Dressing up was one of my favorite things, and of course, the candy was an added bonus! As I’ve gotten older, I’ve been trying to still find ways to celebrate, because it is one of my favorites. This Halloween, however, I’ll actually be at my final dress rehearsal for a show I’m currently in. However, in this week’s blog, I wanted to share how I celebrate one of my favorite holidays as an adult1
1). Dress up!
This may seem like an obvious one, but get yourself a costume! These days, you can even put together a costume from clothing pieces you already own. Pinterest has hundreds of simple DIY costumes, so find something you love!
2). Decorate your house/Hand out candy
Nothing puts a damper on Halloween more than the houses that clearly don’t want anything to do with trick-or-treaters. Don’t be afraid to decorate your front yeard to make it inviting for kids, and hand out candy in your cotume!
3). Play some Halloween-themed music
iHeart Radio, Spotify, Pandora, or whatever music streaming service you listen to has Halloween stations this time of year. Get yourself in the spirit by listening to them!
4). Watch “It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown!”
I have to admit, this is one of my favorite traditions. I love the Charlie Brown specials during the holidays, especially this one.
5). Throw your own Halloween party
Invite your friends and family, have everyone dress up, and throw a Halloween party! It's a great way to celebrate, especially because you can celebrate the weekend before.
