There are so many posts out there about topics such as, “How to have the best workout” or “The top 10 healthiest foods you can eat.” But, sometimes the simplest things can make all the difference in your fitness routine! Let me assure you, it doesn’t always have to be complicated. So, in this week’s blog, I’m sharing the top 5 things you can do to be a little bit healthier, right now.
1). Drink more water
Staying hydrated is SO important for your health! Without drinking enough water, you can feel tired, sluggish, prone to headaches, and even feel hungry when you really aren’t. I like to make sure I’m drinking enough water by using a fun water bottle, and adding fruits like lemon or cucumber to give it extra flavor.
Stretching is such an underrated way to get moving during the day1 SO, whether you’re on your lunch break, or getting ready for bed, make some time to simply stretch out those muscles.
3). Eat more fruits and veggies
It’s pretty difficult to go wrong in the fruit and veggie department, so load up on them throughout the day! You can pair them with any meal, or eat them as a snack. Some of my favorites are:
4). Go for a walk
Getting outdoors is one of the best ways to boost your mood, and get some physical activity in! Even if it’s a 5 or 10 minute walk, it does wonders for your health.
Mental health is just as important as our physical health! By taking a few minutes to write down your feelings, it gets them out of your head, and makes you able to think a little more clearly.
