Grocery Shopping on a Budget

I’ve had a budget for as long as I can remember, and I’ve always been very mindful of how and where I spend my money. And, as an entrepreneur and actor, it’s always been important to keep my expenses as low as possible. But, I never want to sacrifice my health in order to do it! So, in this week’s blog, I’m sharing how I grocery shop each week, while keeping it easy, simple, and healthy!
1). Buy foods you can cook multiple ways
This is such a good hack, because it keeps my meal prep a little more interesting. Eggs and potatoes are 2 of my favorites, because you can do so much with them! Here are a few of the ways you can make them:
-Roasted potatoes (with seasoning of choice)
-Baked potatoes (with toppings of choice)
-Scrambled eggs
-Hard boiled eggs
2). Use frozen veggies
This is a big one, because you can store them for a longer period of time, and mix them with other things! Here are a few of my favorite combos:
-Corn/black beans/tomatoes
-California blend (carrots, broccoli, cauliflower)
3). Keep protein/snack bars handy
My personal favorite is the Fiber One Oats and Chocolate; but any kind of protein bar in general is a quick and easy to grab on the go!
4). Keep standard fruits handy
I love apples or bananas, but any fruit you enjoy will do! Whether you combine it with other things as a meal, or just as a snack, it’s a good way to make sure you’re getting your fruit in!
I hope you found these tips helpful! Share which one resonated with you most in the comments!
