How to Celebrate Halloween in 2020

It’s true, Halloween does look a little different this year. No parties, no trick-or-treating, no big gatherings. It’s definitely an adjustment, to say the least. For me, I’ll be spending my Halloween weekend in virtual productions of Frankenstein: Prometheus Bound. But, there are people who are missing the celebrations that come with Halloween. So, in this week’s blog post, I wanted to share a few ways you can still enjoy the holiday, while keeping it safe!
1). Have a movie night
I LOVE having a cozy movie night in, and what better night to do just that than Halloween! I always break out the Harry Potter series (I own them all, of course!) Or the Charlie Brown special “It’s The Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown.” Such a fun, light-hearted way to celebrate. You can even pop some popcorn, break out the blankets, and put up some orange twinkle lights to make it feel festive!
2). Decorations
There’s no reason why we can’t still decorate! So, break out your pumpkins, spooky decor, and make your house as festive as you possibly can. I did, and it definitely makes me smile! Here are a few of my favorites right now:

3). Bake a pumpkin treat
This is definitely something on my list this year! I’m making gluten-free pumpkin muffins, and I’m so excited! So, grab a baking mix you love, and bake enough for the family (or just you!)
4). Pick out a costume, and actually wear it!
Okay, I’m kind of cheating in this department this year, because I’ll already be in costume for a show. However, if I weren’t, I would certainly find one! Dressing up and getting in the spirit is the best way to make the most out of any holiday!
