Is it just me, or is “back to school” the time of year when we all start to try and reorganize our lives and get things in order? I know I do! With the way this summer has gone, I think it’s safe to say we could all use a little reorganization and restructuring in our lives! In this week’s blog post, I wanted to share my tips and tricks for staying organized, and feeling like I have ,y life together! (Well, sort of!)
1). Keep your desk space clean
For me, because I do so much work in my little home office, I always have to make sure it’s clean if I even want to be moderately productive. I also like to keep it looking cute and decorated! Some of my favorite things to use are a vision board, and my favorite inspirational quotes!
2). Keep hard copies of important documents
I know, everything is digital these days. For the most part, I totally take advantage of that! However, as a growing business owner, I feel so much better if I always keep hard copies of bank statements, contracts, and other important documents. We all know that sometimes, technology isn’t our friend. I never want to be in a position where I loose important information!
3). Use a physical planner instead of your phone
There’s something so satisfying about keeping a running to-do list, that I can literally check things off of throughout my day. You can find so many cute notebooks, and keep your to-do lists there! Mine is from Target.
4). Clean out your bag once a week
Whether you use a purse or a backpack, we’ve all had those days when we find random things from months ago, am I right? I find that by cleaning out my bag once a week, I keep it clean and tidy (and never find any surprises!)
5). Plan out my day every morning
I always function so much better if I know exactly what I’m doing with my day, Right now, that mostly looks like balancing my business work around my current day job. If I know exactly when I’m going to do things throughout my day, I’m not worried about when they’ll get done!
