My Top Productivity & Time-Saving Hacks

Does it ever feel like you have a never ending to-do list? I totally hear that! I sometimes have weeks where there just don’t seem to have enough hours in the day to get everything done. When I have those weeks, it’s really important for me to prep accordingly, and make sure I have my schedule outlined so I’m completely organized. So, in this week’s blog, I wanted to share some of my tips and tricks for productivity, and saving time!

1). Take Sunday to prep (and relax!)

For me, how I spend my Sunday sets the tone for my entire week. So, it’s important that I take the day to unwind, do things that make me happy, and get ready for the busy week ahead! This includes laying out my clothes for the week, planning out my social media posts, and having the blog ready to go. In terms of things that make me happy? Sleeping in, making a nice breakfast, and catching up on the shows I’m currently binging!

2). Don’t be afraid to double dip!

For me, I can certainly be a multi-tasker. However, I have to be intentional about how I do it. Otherwise, I can’t focus on either task I’m doing. The best example for me is doing my personal development work, while I’m getting ready in the morning. This way, I’m still getting the important things done, but not trying to do too much at one time.

3). Food prep!

Okay, I know I tend to talk about food prep A TON. But, it’s essential for a busy week! It varies, but the easiest thing it to have brown rice, and some form of veggies for dinner for the week. Having grab-and-go snacks are also an essential for me. This includes apples, crackers, veggies, anything that’s easy to store.

4). Time block

Time blocking is relatively new for me, but I love the concept! The idea is that you set aside a block of time each day, that becomes your non-negotiable for a certain task. That way, you know it always gets done, no matter what!

5). Have a go-to playlist

Nothing gets me “in the zone” as well as music does! So, if I feel myself starting to slow down (and I can’t rest just yet!) I turn on this playlist to get me back on track.

Remember, at the end of the day, we all have the same number of hours in a day as Beyonce. It’s all about how we use them. So, how do you handle your busy weeks? Share your tips below!
